Environmental Management

Statement of the Board

ISO 9001:2015 Certificate valid 2028-06-04

As a company focused on the needs of our customers, we also have a responsibility to protect the environment. Environmental protection is an integral part of our Integrated Management System and is systematically monitored and developed by a specially appointed Environmental Officer.

Our actions are based on compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements and other binding commitments to which we are committed. We are also committed to meeting the voluntary commitments and environmental requirements of our stakeholders.

In line with the London Declaration, we recognise climate change as a key global issue. We integrate climate change considerations into our processes and decisions in order to capitalise on opportunities, mitigate risks and build the resilience of our business for the long term.

We view our environmental management as a continuous improvement process. The aim is to minimise environmental impact and optimise the use of resources over the long term. This includes in particular:

  • The efficient use of energy, water, paper and other resources,
  • the avoidance of waste and the minimisation of emissions
  • the responsible use of hazardous substances and materials
  • and the regular evaluation and optimisation of environmentally relevant processes.

Environmental considerations are systematically taken into account in all business decisions, particularly in the selection and procurement of raw materials and supplies, investments and the planning and implementation of technical measures. Environmentally friendly alternatives are preferred wherever they are economically viable.

Environmental protection is a company-wide responsibility. We therefore promote environmental awareness among our employees through information, training and involvement in environmental decision-making processes. We encourage responsible and environmentally sound behaviour at all levels.
